Just over a week ago as the wife and I pulled up to the stop sign at the highway a couple of miles from home, we saw a dog sitting on side of the gravel road across the highway. He looked very out of place just sitting there no one around.  We were concerned that he could get hit by a car, being that close to a busy road. So we pulled across the road and stopped. He came right up to the car. We contacted the local animal welfare people, put up posters, checked the web. We call him Sherman. He is very loving and friendly. I guess someone must have dumped him but I can’t help but think the universe just smiled on me.
